Also known as a partial root canal, the pulpectomy is a procedure that involves completely removing the pulp and root canal, usually done on a primary tooth. If the decay is deep enough, the tooth will abscess and this is normally when a pulpectomy is recommended. Treatment normally takes one visit and is strongly recommended when the child’s toothache pain is mild. That’s why it is important to see Dr. Vafa even if the child is experiencing only the smallest toothache. |
